How to Build a Cake Decorating Turntable

The Cake Stackers™ cake decorating turntable is just one of several ways  to assemble your cake support system.

This heavy duty cake turntable attachment is machined from aluminum and will hold the heaviest of cakes. The turntable attachment is designed to connect two of the Cake Stackers™ base plates. Standard sets come with only one base plate. Pro sets come with multiple base plates. To use the turntable attachment you will need two base plates of any size.

STEP 1 – Choose your cake decorating base plate

Usually, the base plate of choice is the smaller 13 inch size, however, you can use any size base plate.

Attach the 1.5 inch threaded spacer to the base plate and tighten securely!

STEP 2 – Choose your cake decorating turntable top

Use any base plate from 13 inches up to 21 inches in diameter. Assemble your cake turntable to match the job you need it for. Attach the 2.5 inch receiver to the top plate and tighten securely!

Slide your top plate onto your base plate and you have a nice turntable the size you need. Be sure to tighten securely. Use Crisco (very little) for lubricant if needed. Additionally, you can use the Cake Stackers™ center posts to extend the height of your turntable as necessary.
